POEM: DEATH’S HARVEST

Here is one of my poems that I called “Death’s Harvest”. Enjoy:

“I float above a great hall with my trusty scythe in hand.

Below me are the pitiful mortals wasting their lives.

They party and indulge themselves in order to find

meaning, but they are only making it easier for me to

decide their ultimate fate.

Banquet tables welcome gluttons with plenty.

Paramours embrace one another with lustful intent.

Proud men glare at one another with envious anger.

In the corner, a fat drunk sleeps like a soft pig.

Oh, how I will enjoy claiming them!

With my beloved scythe, I descend upon the hall

each swing of my dark blade fulfills my harvest.

One by one, the sinners fall as their wretched souls

become absorbed by my scythe like a leech

drinking blood.

In moments, my task is done with all the sinners

at my skinless feet. Satisfied with the fruit of my

labor, I take my leave. Inside my scythe, the souls

of the sinners scream!”

POEM: THE ORANGE CHICKEN

Here is a poem from my latest published work, The Writing Arsenal of a Common Man:

Placed before me was a box as black as night.

The contents of the box revealed itself to be a batch

of crispy chicken pieces that steamed with heavenly

fragrance. This aroma made me light-headed as

though floating in a cloud. Coating the chicken was a

sauce that gave it the appearance of crimson gold

nuggets.

As I sank my dripping teeth into the fried flesh,

I savored its intoxicating richness. A slight burning

sensation surged in my mouth as it processed

the chicken’s tangy spices. I can hear the chicken crunch

in my molars like dry wafers.

With my elegant meal completed, I sat in my chair

consumed by satisfaction. The interior of my

stomach churns happily like a cauldron of bliss.

My tongue cringed with the powerful aftertaste

like an angel’s kiss. I then contemplate the moment

when I received the black box.

WRITING UPDATE: PIT BULL POEM

cfzv99luuaqoubw

I have just finished writing a poem about my beloved pit bulls. The poem describes how I met them and what kind of impact they have had on my family and community. I am thinking of making my pit bulls my personal writing mascots because I love them too much. This has been a fun poem to write and allowed me to depict my undying affection for these unnaturally adorable beasts. I look forward to sharing this poem with you in the near future.
