WRITING UPDATE: FUTURE PROJECTS

It appears that in the near future, my writing schedule will become even more elaborate due to the rise of new projects that will expand my series beyond their book forms. In addition to the main five volumes of my series and the short story sub-series, I am also planning to continue the graphic novel script I started last year as well as utilizing the skills I acquired in my Screenwriting Classes to convert my books into screenplays. With enough luck and perseverance, I hope to have them made into both films and graphic novels. It sounds like a full plate and hefty task to undertake, but they are among my goals to accomplish with my series. Wish me luck!

At WonderCon of 2014, I encountered Dan Parsons, who was one of the people responsible for the Star Wars Legacy Comics, which are some of my most favorite Star Wars graphic novels.  When I found out who he was, I felt a jolt of excitement because I have dreamed of meeting one of the masterminds behind Star Wars Legacy.  It was basically like shaking hands with one of my personal heroes.  I enjoyed meeting another storyteller and artist who possessed as much passion in their work as I do and it is a moment that I will forever treasure until the end of my days.

ANIME REVIEW: ATTACK ON TITAN

I recently developed an interest in Attack on Titan and when I first watched the anime, I was caught off guard of how violent and dark it was. When I watched the titans devouring human beings like Snickers bars, I had an epiphany. Being devoured by a monster that is apparently inhuman, such as the xenomorphs in Ridley Scott’s Alien, is gentle. What is truly frightening is being devoured by a monster that has a human likeness, such as the titans. I watched the entire first season of the anime and started reading the manga and despite the dark atmosphere I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the revelations of the ever-mysterious nature of the titans, such as the titan shifters. In addition, I liked the realistic reaction human beings would have when they face an enemy that they cannot understand or defeat. The opening sequence to the first story arc of the anime is one of my favorite anime openings due to its fast-pacing lyrics and epic tone. I would recommend this anime to anyone who is searching for a story that keeps you constantly guessing on what will happen next.
