BOOK REVIEW: ABSENCE OF COLOR

Despite some dark elements, this was a fun story to read. It possesses some of the basic aspects of a fantasy quest yet it takes it on a unique direction. Even though it slightly deviates from classic fantasy, I think it would still entertain fans of traditional fantasy. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!!!

AMAZON UK REVIEW: NUMEN THE SLAYER

Here is a five star review Numen the Slayer received on Amazon UK:

“This is an easy read and a real page turner. The world the author has created and the rules that govern it are extremely well thought out and completely believable. There are some graphic descriptions of violence in places, so beware if you’re squeamish. If you like a tale of sword and sorcery, with more than a few nods to ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, then this should definitely be your next read.”

AMAZON REVIEWS: NUMEN THE SLAYER

Here are some reviews Numen the Slayer received on Amazon:

“It’s a fine story told by someone who is familiar with the arms and armor of medieval times. The author is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms and seems to have taken the word “creative” to heart. It’s a “coming of age” story, starting out with a young man, somewhat sheltered by his father who is a Baron. The young man is suddenly cast into the world when his family is murdered by another noble who has great ambitions. His only weapon is an ancient sword that is the heirloom of his family. The sword is an asset, but also has a liability attached to it. The rest of the story is a series of challenges that forces him to grow up rapidly. The author has a fine imagination and can spin an acceptable fantasy.”

“The first good thing about this book is the cover. The dragon head, set against a flaming inferno, grabbed me the moment I saw it and is worth a solid star on its own. The story is a great fantasy classic – the true heir is uncovered and the evil ruler tries to prevent him taking his rightful place. There is the quintessential fantasy group of differing skilled friends who go forth to right a great wrong. There is plenty of intrigue and many battles. There is a wonderful magical sword and a powerful dragon ally. All the ingredients for a fabulous old-school fantasy.”

BOOK REVIEW: FATAL ALLIANCE

What happens when representatives of the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire get dragged into a conflict with the Hutts? A great tale that gives the reader an accurate preview on what will happen in the new Old Republic game. It also has some classic Star Wars themes in it, such as the light and dark sides of the Force colliding with one another and the criminal underworld that dwells throughout the galaxy. The fate of the galaxy as a whole hangs by a thread as both sides fight for control. May the Force be with us all!

BOOK REVIEW: THE FORCE UNLEASHED II

Drath Vader’s secret apprentice is back with a vengeance as he goes on a quest to rediscover his identity. A great story that has twists and turns around every corner. See Yoda and Boba Fett like you’ve never seen them before as they play a significant role in Starkiller’s quest. Vader even more mysterious in this book than he was in the first one. It is a classic combination between The Fugitive, The 6th Day, and The Empire Strikes Back. A highly recommended story to anyone who enjoyed the first Force Unleashed game.
