I have a strong suspicion about the identity of Rey’s parents in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. I think they are Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels. The reason for this is because they would be around the same age as Luke and Leia and throughout Star Wars Rebels there was an obvious connection between them. Ezra and Sabine may have gone their separate ways for now, but I believe that they will be reunited one day. Rey was born 15 years after the Battle of Yavin so if they are Rey’s parents they would each be about 34 or 35 when they conceived her.

As for their ultimate fate, because Ezra has used the dark side of the Force a number of times, I suspect that he will turn to the dark side and join the Knights of Ren and the First Order. On the other hand, Ezra may have tried to help Luke rebuild the Jedi Order but was killed when Kylo Ren destroyed Luke’s students. Sabine denied being Mandalore’s leader in the latest episode, but I think necessity will force her either to become Mandalore or become a close follower of the new Mandalore.

As to why they left Rey on Jakku, I think it is mainly Sabine’s doing. The reason for this is because she has recently been revealed to be a member of the Mandalorian aristocracy; her mother being a countess. In addition, since the Jedi and Mandalorians have fought one another for centuries there is bound to be ancient bad blood between them. Due to this, a majority of the Mandalorian clans may not like the fact that one of their own had an affair with a Jedi and produced a half-breed child. Sabine may have left Rey on Jakku to prevent her daughter from being targeted by the other Mandalorian clans. Also, if Ezra turned to the dark side and joined the Knights of Ren then Sabine may have also hid Rey to protect her from her dark side wielding father; similar to how Obi-Wan protected Luke on Tatooine. In general, Sabine would realize that her daughter would be surrounded by enemies and would be hunted all her life. Due to this, Sabine would have hid Rey in a backwater planet where none of her enemies would be able to find her.

I also believe that Ezra and Sabine will appear in either Episode VIII or IX. It has been revealed that new cast members include Benecio del Toro and Laura Dern. I think Benecio del Toro is going to be an older Ezra while Laura Dern is going to be an older version of Sabine. Both actors are the same age just as Ezra and Sabine are close in age and would be old enough to portray an older and wiser version of the characters.

I hope these predictions come true either in Episode VIII or IX. Only time will tell.

I have finished watching the latest episode of Star Wars Rebels: Legacy of Mandalore. I was very eager to see this episode because it more prominently featured the Mandalorians. I got to learn more about their culture in the New Expanded Universe like the fact that they have their own form of aristocracy since Sabine’s mother holds the title Countess. I remember speaking the Mandalorian language, Mando’a, to Mandalorian fans at WonderCon 2014. Sabine Wren sounded super-sexy when she spoke Mando’a. Overall, the episode showed a dramatic change to Sabine’s storyline and the Mandalorians as a people.

With the Galactic Empire’s puppet ruler Gar Saxon dead, the Mandalorian people will be thrown into chaos and anarchy all over again since the Clone Wars. Some people might see this as a bad thing, but because the Mandalorians are a culture of battle-hardened warriors they thrive on chaos while other civilizations implode from it. It is as Littlefinger from Game of Thrones once said, “Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods… illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.” In a world of chaos, the Mandalorians are the only ones who can climb that ladder because chaos weeds out the weak from their ranks and allows the strong to thrive. In time, this will allow the strongest of the survivors to rise as the new Mandlore, who is the absolute ruler of the Mandalorian people.

Overall, I look forward to finding out the long-term aftermath of the events of this episode. I wonder if we will see Sabine again in future episodes or if this is the end of this chapter of her story. Only time will tell.

I have a strong suspicion about Jon Snow’s identity. If you watch the clip of his birth and read Lyanna Stark’s lips, you will see that it is heavily implied that “Jon Snow” isn’t Jon’s real name. Being the child of a Targaryen, it is likely his real name is a Targaryen one like Aegon, Aerys, Baelor, or Viserys. Personally, I hope his real name is Aemon like Maester Aemon. Rhaegar was close with Maester Aemon and communicated with him frequently through raven messages. Because they were so close, it is likely that Rhaegar named Jon after Aemon. If Jon reclaims his birthright and accepts his true heritage, then he would be the first Targaryen king named Aemon to rule the Iron Throne. I look forward to finding out if this suspicion comes true next season.

I had a fascinating idea for my fantasy book. Up until now, I have been drawing inspiration from medieval history. Now, I remember that I was once a fanatic of prehistory; particularly dinosaurs. With this in mind, I am thinking of applying what I had learned when I was younger into the fantasy world of my book. Imagine how much death and destruction an army of dinosaurs could inflict on a medieval army or if both medieval armies applied dinosaurs in battle. Also, it would be all the more fitting because some believe that fossils of dinosaurs inspired the legends of dragons and other mythical creatures. I cannot wait to shrug off the cobwebs on my prehistoric knowledge. Feel free to ask which dinosaurs and Ice Age animals you want to appear in this epic. Wish me luck!

I have started the tenth chapter of my fantasy book and this is where things begin to deepen for the main character. It will also feature more characters based on my Celtic heritage and you will get to have a closer look at their culture and society. As dark forces gather, compromises will be made and plans will be organized as several characters fight for both survival and vengeance.

I am looking forward to seeing the new King Kong film that comes out next month. It is great that they supersized Kong to the size of a kaiju (giant monster) and have him fight other kaiju instead of T. Rexes. It broke my heart in the old King Kong films where Kong killed T. Rexes because T. Rex is my favorite dinosaur. I have also learned that this film is in the same universe as the latest Godzilla film and that Kong and Godzilla are going to have a crossover in which they fight to the death in 2020. Who do you think would win such a fight? The King of the Monsters or the King of Skull Island? I look forward to finding out.

As Season 7 of Game of Thrones draws closer, I realize that this season could depict the third and final phase of the War of the Five Kings. The map above shows the current factions in the War of the Five Kings. We have Daenerys Targaryen (RED) controlling the Reach and Dorne, Cersei Lannister (PURPLE) controlling the Westerlands, Riverlands, Crownlands, and Stormlands, Euron Greyjoy (YELLOW) controlling the Iron Islands, Petyr Baelish (GREEN) controlling the Vale while giving support to House Stark in the meantime, Jon Snow (GRAY) controlling the North, and the White Walkers (BLACK) controlling the lands Beyond the Wall. I have studied numerous leaked photos and plot lines and I have a pretty good prediction of the final outcome of the War of the Five Kings.

Everyone thought the War of the Five Kings ended with the Red Wedding, but the hard truth is that the Red Wedding only ended the first phase of the war. Also, in a war of five kings there is only one inevitable outcome: the last king standing gets it all. The Lannisters and their allies may have weakened House Stark and Renly Baratheon may have died, but as long as Stannis Baratheon and Balon Greyjoy were still active, the Lannisters did not win anything yet.

The second phase of the War of the Five Kings started during the death of King Joffrey and ascension of King Tommen. This phase saw the annihilation of Stannis Baratheon and his faction as well as the death of Balon Greyjoy. These deaths saw the end of the original five kings at the start of the war, but also saw the rise of new ones to take their place. After Balon Greyjoy’s death, his younger brother became the new King of the Iron Islands and kept his faction alive in defiance of the Iron Throne.

The third and final phase of the War of the Five Kings has started with the death of King Tommen and ascension of Queen Regnant Cersei Lannister. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, House Stark returned with Jon Snow as King in the North. In addition, easily the most powerful faction in the whole war, Daenerys Targaryen has entered the conflict.

Based on the leaked photos and plot lines, I have a strong suspicion that the remaining four factions will combine into two factions and battle one another in the final round for the Iron Throne. It has been heavily implied that Cersei Lannister will join forces with Euron Greyjoy while Daenerys Targaryen joins forces with Jon Snow. This would be a battle of beasts that pits the wolf of Winterfell and the dragon of Dragonstone against the lion of Casterly Rock and the kraken of Pyke. Since the War of the Five Kings is based on the War of the Roses, it would be fitting for this last clash to be the Game of Thrones version of the Battle of Bosworth Field, which ended the War of the Roses and installed a stable monarchy. Whoever wins this final battle will be the official winners of the War of the Five Kings and unite the Seven Kingdoms against the White Walkers when the Wall is breached. I look forward to finding out if my prediction is correct and I cannot wait for next season. Winter is here!

I am about to start writing the ninth chapter of my fantasy book and things are about to become gritty. This chapter will give you a closer look at the inner workings of the affairs of the darker characters. In particular, you will get to see some of their sinister ancestral practices as well as how they run their courts and plan their enemies’ downfall. This chapter will ultimately make you wonder if these characters are truly evil or just products of their families’ unusual upbringing. I am already getting goosebumps just thinking about what to include.
