One of the most famous medieval battles was the Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years War. In this conflict, over 30,000 French knights were crushed by 6,000 English archers. This defeat had rendered the French’s code of chivalry obsolete and give rise to a professional army. I am thinking of drawing inspiration from this battle for the second major battle in my fantasy book, which will involve a smaller army going up against one that outnumbers it three to one.
