Among the countless writing projects I am working is one that will be a sequel spin-off of my Young Guardians Series that takes place 5,000 years into the future. One of the characters I have been developing was one who could control the powers of others in a variety of different ways. The application of this ability that will be addressed in this post is easily one of the cruelest and most sadistic superhuman powers of them all: power negation, which is the ability to turn off the powers of others. When you take away someone’s powers, you give them a fate worse than death because you have stripped them of a part of their identity. Also, you leave them with nothing to defend themselves. Because of the dark nature this power could be used for, I am thinking of giving this power to one of the supervillains in my sequel series.
